Housing Assistance

Impact NW helps secure safe and permanent housing through several different programs, depending upon the client’s needs.

我们的计划为正在经历无家可归或贫困的个人和家庭创造机会和新的选择。

The households who benefit from our Housing Assistance programs also have access to our wide range of anti-poverty services, including our Recovery Programming, Resource Navigation, and 能源援助.

Accessing Impact NW Housing Programs

Impact NW partners with local Coordinated Access providers (sometimes called Coordinated Entry) to receive referrals for all of our housing programs. The four Portland Metro counties Impact NW partners with have their own coordinated access point:

Multnomah County Clackamas County Washington County Clark County

“Coordinated Access” centralizes the entry points to create a more streamlined and equitable access for the most vulnerable to be assessed and referred for eligible housing and shelter services. Each County has their own central line to call. Please leave a message and someone from the coordinated access/entry system will call to assess your housing needs and add your name and contact information to a list of eligible housing programs and/or shelters available.

When Impact NW has an opening in any of our housing programs, we request the next referral from these Coordinated Access lists. We then contact and set up an intake appointment with the new referral and if they are still eligible, the referral will be enrolled in either our prevention, rapid rehousing, or permanent supportive housing programs.

Worker of the Day Program

Navigating basic needs assistance and knowing where to start can be confusing and overwhelming. Impact NW provides information and referral services through our walk-up Worker of the Day program located at Dancing Tree Family Center.

Every Monday-Thursday from 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm a housing advocate is available to answer questions and provide resource information.

Worker of the Day is a donation based program and has a limited supply of basic need items to assist our most vulnerable, unhoused community members. If you would like to donate items to Worker of the Day, click here to see how you can help.
