We envision a future where housing is a human right and we will work to lead human rights advocacy by helping to create positive systemic change. Homelessness and housing insecurity are consequences of structural forces that keep people oppressed, in poverty and facing homelessness.
At Impact NW, we created a Homelessness Prevention Plan as a document on how we see our role in addressing the short and long term solutions to homelessness.
Background:
Alongside our partner organizations, and as part of Impact NW’s Advocacy Committee civic engagement focus, we are hosting a series of “Meet the Candidates Cafés” with candidates running for Multnomah County Chair.
The Multnomah County Chair position is important to our community because of the duties that fall under their responsibilities and specifically their power to address the homelessness crisis. Read more about the position 这里.

To raise awareness on the candidates running for the Chair position. We want to engage staff, clients, community members, and partners to learn more about who is running for this position. Impact NW and partnering organizations will not endorse any candidate.
