Mike and Lisa know what it means to be close to losing everything. When they married, Mike had a good job, but a cancer diagnosis meant the couple had to rely on Lisa’s much smaller income. Mike is a veteran and a survivor, but the bills piled up – threatening their housing stability and Mike’s recovery. That’s when they found Impact NW.
Their Impact NW Housing Specialist, Kay, arranged for rent and utility support and helped Mike secure social security benefits, which was critical to staying housed. Mike and Lisa are now stable, regaining health, and feeling grateful for what feels like a second chance at life.
