Lydia Gray-Holifield Awarded Hostetter-Habib Family Award by Family Equality Council

Impact NW’s DEI Director, Lydia Gray-Holifield, was recently awarded the Hostetter-Habib Family Award by the Family Equality Council at their annual Night at the Pier. Lydia was honored due to her work to increase visibility for Black and Brown LGBTQ+ parents, help eliminate barriers, and create new pathways to access community needs.

Flying from Portland to New York’s Chelsea Pier, Lydia and her family walked on stage on May 16, 2022 to a standing ovation of more than 600 people. Family Equality’s Night at the Pier is a celebration of LGBTQ+ families and the people and organizations that have made an impact. Past honorees have included Katie Couric, Lisa Cholodenko, Lee Daniels, Chely Wright & Lauren BlitzerWright, Scott Ellis, Sergio Trujillo, Broadway musicals Dear Evan Hansen, The Prom, and Ain’t Too Proud, Daryl Roth, Nick Scandalios, and more.
