Anti-Racist Resources: To Learn, Support, Advocate and Amplify Black Voices

June 4, 2020

This list was created in response to the recent events and unfolding situations within our country surrounding the Black Lives Matter movement. As an organization that works with many bipoc (Black, Indigenous People of color), it is important that we recognize and understand the current movement, and where we can start the process within ourselves. It can be completely overwhelming and oftentimes begins with a question – “Where to Begin?”

We can’t sit idly by and read some texts, watch some videos and feel like we have done our part. Now more than ever is a time to amplify the voices of bipoc who have so long been silenced. This will continue to be a fight for everyone; there is no stopping until everyone, regardless of skin tone, is treated equally. Change needs to come.

We hope that this sparks conversation and introspection within yourself to begin the process of dismantling the system. Keep the discussion alive! Allow yourself to be uncomfortable and to learn from it. Educate, educate, educate!

We at Impact NW stand in solidarity with our black community. Here are some of the resources we are sharing amongst ourselves:
