Impact NW Volunteer gana el premio al servicio<\/h1>\n

Felicidades a la voluntaria de Impact NW Lindsay Lermo por ganar el Premio del Gobernador de Oregon 2015 en la categor\u00eda Voluntario Adulto a nivel estatal.<\/h2>\n

Lindsay es un voluntario dedicado e invaluable para Impact NW's Programa AKA Science (Todos los ni\u00f1os son cient\u00edficos)<\/a>. Lindsay recibi\u00f3 su premio en una ceremonia que tuvo lugar el 12 de octubre de 2015 en Salem, Oregon.<\/p>\n

La ceremonia de premiaci\u00f3n fue organizada por Oregon Volunteers y est\u00e1 dise\u00f1ada para reconocer a individuos y organizaciones por su dedicaci\u00f3n y determinaci\u00f3n en la promoci\u00f3n del voluntariado en Oregon en cada regi\u00f3n y estado.<\/p>\n

"Estoy muy contento de haber ganado el premio Gobernador Volunteer State-Level. Kim Menig, Tyler Oshiro, Nicole Howe, y todos los que trabajan con AKA Science son tan apasionados por el proyecto, y es inspirador trabajar con ellos ", dijo Lindsay.<\/p>\n

Lindsay ha sido una voluntaria devota e invaluable para el programa AKA Science de Impact NW, trabajando como voluntario durante m\u00e1s de 365 horas, todo mientras tomaba transporte p\u00fablico entre las ubicaciones de Clackamas y Portland.<\/p>\n

"S\u00e9 por mi propia educaci\u00f3n que los experimentos pr\u00e1cticos de ciencias son una excelente forma de aumentar la alfabetizaci\u00f3n cient\u00edfica y preparar a los ni\u00f1os para una vida de aprendizaje y exploraci\u00f3n. La ciencia no es algo aterrador que solo las 'personas inteligentes' pueden hacer, es algo que todos los ni\u00f1os pueden hacer ", dijo Lindsay.<\/p>\n

Lindsay tambi\u00e9n brind\u00f3 asistencia vital para: evaluar las actividades cient\u00edficas de calidad y seguridad, revisar y sintetizar los comentarios de los instructores, investigar actividades de reemplazo para fortalecer el curr\u00edculo, escribir y editar partes del curr\u00edculum, filmar tutoriales web para demostrar c\u00f3mo facilitar las actividades e identificar v\u00ednculos. Est\u00e1ndares de Ciencia de Generaci\u00f3n. Ella hace todo esto con una incre\u00edble positividad y un entusiasmo contagioso.<\/p>\n
