Impact NW

EARLY CHILDHOOD
PARENT EDUCATION IN PARTNERSHIP PROJECT

Parents Teaching Parents

Parent Leaders will be trained alongside experienced Parent Educators to provide Make Parenting a Pleasure (MPAP) parent education classes to parents in our community. MPAP is shown to strengthen families, reduce parental stress, and prevent child abuse. These classes address the importance of the parent-child relationship and promote strategies to improve nurturing and attachment, provide a sound knowledge base of child development and positive parenting skills, and allow parents the opportunity to connect with other parents and expand their community of support. Parent Leaders will also build their career potential and leadership skills.
