Thank you for making the 2012 Impact NW and KOIN Local 6 Holiday Magic Drive a success!

The 2012 Holiday Magic Gift Drive & Store has wrapped up for the season and we are still in awe of our community’s generosity.  In the midst of recent tragedies both within our hometown and across the globe we saw our own community come together and wrap their arms around our neighbors in need.  Because of your generous hearts and the help of over 200 volunteers, we were able to serve 1,500 people with over 15,000 gifts, toiletries, clothing and food that they would not otherwise have had access to.

The Holiday Magic Store embodies the mission of Impact NW providing an opportunity for families to shop for free from a store filled with brand new items for their children, their household and themselves.  Families that have shopped through the store have shared that this form of empowerment has had an immeasurable impact on their life – providing them with a sense of dignity and comfort in knowing that people within their own community truly care about them.

While shopping at the Holiday Magic Store, one mom in tears told her personal shopper volunteer, “I haven’t been able to bring many happy moments to my children in the last year – I honestly can’t wait to see the looks on their faces when they get to open these gifts. And, I even got a pair of shoes for myself!”
